Living in a foreign place like the tropical island of Bali presents some special opportunities as well as special challenges and adjustments.  My wife, Stephen and I are not new to living and traveling abroad, having lived in Turkey, Ecuador, Canada, Azerbaijan and now Indonesia and having visited about 50 different countries. As residents we are neither tourists nor citizens so there are things we see that the tourist may not but we can never hope to have a full understanding of our adopted place.

If the tropical climate and its tendency to make one procrastinate don’t get in the way, I hope to share some of what we are finding here and have found in other places on a day to day basis. Come along.
